H O T WOMEN

Yesterday I attended a Woman's Conference.  One of the classes I signed up for was entitled, "HOT Women."  I must admit I was quite curious on how an old out of shape pleasantly plump middles aged woman like myself could become a "Hot Woman."
The speaker was very engaging and funny and true kindred spirit to me.
She started out with explaining how she first heard about "Hot Women."
She had been invited to speak at BYU Hawaii a few months ago and she had time Sunday morning before she flew back to attend a local meeting.  Since she loved the young generation of the church she chose to attend the local "collage ward."  She commented that particular Sunday was a Fast and Testimony meeting.
She was thoroughly enjoying the testimonies of these young bright students when a young man stood up and started bearing his testimony.  Three times he mentioned how 'grateful he was to his Father in Heaven for allowing him the opportunity to attend BYU Hawaii and be surrounded by all these Hot Women."
Each and every one of us responded as she had.  We gasped and were horrified that in the middle of a testimony of all things this young man would make references to "Hot Women."
The speaker said she about fell out of her chair and to her utter amazement everyone else was smiling.
Each time this young man would mention "Hot Women" she would say to herself, "Heavenly Father, please help this young man sit done, how could he even mention "Hot Woman" in his testimony.  This is not the place or the time."
As he wound down his testimony this young man then explained, "for those of you who are visiting or are new to the ward I would like to explain to you what a "Hot Woman" here means:

              1.  A Woman filled with Humility

2.  An Obedient Woman

       3.  A Temple Worthy Woman

As she was resting her head upon the plastic airline pillow to sleep she said just as she thought she was going to drift off to sleep, a smile came to her face and she found herself thinking, "Heavenly Father, I want to become a "Hot Woman."
Like this presenter I also would like to become a "Hot Woman."  But where to start.
For me that was going to the scriptures and looking up tips on Humility:

Micah 6:8:  "He hath shewed thee, o (Wo)man what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee/(me),
but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.

Matthew 18:4:  "Whosoever therefore shall humble themselves as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven."

Tips on Obedience:

Exodus 24:7:  "And he took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient."

One of my favorite scripper's in regards to obedience is found in D&C 82:8-10:
"And again, I say unto you, I give unto you a new commandment, that you may understand my will concerning you; or in other words, I give unto you directions how you may act before me, that it may turn you for you salvation.  I the Lord and bound when ye do what I say;
but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise."

Last but not least, Temple Worthy Woman.
In another class I attended this dear sister closed with this amazing quote of Charity
 by Elder Marvin J Ashton:

"Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other,
when we don't judge or categorize someone else.
When we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or remaining quiet.
Charity is accepting someones differences, weaknesses and short comings.
Having patience with someone who has let us down or resisting the impulse to become offended
when someone does not handle something the way we might have hoped.
Charity is refusing to take advantage of anothers weakness
and be willing to forgive someone who has hurt us.
Charity is the best of each other."

His statement truly summarizes all the above, Humility, Obedience and Temple Worthy.
I personally hold a temple recommend and I will not do anything to jeopardize my holding of that beautiful little card; but alas I continue to be a work in progress and some days I am just not filled with humility as my Savior was and there are some days I'm just not as obedient in keeping my Father's commandments, which truly breaks my heart because He has said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Thankfully He has been gracious enough to allow me another day of trying to be like Him.
Each and every morning I thank Him for allowing me another day and through His teachings and scriptures He has given me the template on how to become more "Savior like thee."
Another great blessing which he has abundantly bestowed upon me is being surrounded by Hot Women who I am blessed enough to call friend.  Not all are LDS but each and every one of them share the beautiful attributes of a HOT WOMAN.  Daily every one of them inspire and enrich my life in so many wonderful ways that words cannot even begin to express my great love and admiration for them.
So, my dear friends may we all have a desire to become HOT WOMEN, not as the world suggests; we have  plenty of those but let us become HOT WOMEN that would make our Father in Heaven smile and with loving tenderness say, "this is my beloved daughter in whom I am well pleased."
